Happy Holidays to, you all! I hope this season you’ve been able to make special memories to cherish for a lifetime. Christmas for me has always been a time of magic and wonder. The sights of pretty twinkle lights strung on trees, lovely hung decorations, and fresh snow have always made for sparkly enchantment. After spending a very long revision on my ghost story novel, I was thrilled to vacation in Montana and spend the holidays with my family.
The trip was nothing short of a transport into a snowy fairytale. During the ten days I spent in the Flathead Valley, over a foot of snow fell, turning the landscape into a Narnia winter wonderland. It was exhilarating to walk outside and see all the beauty. I may have done some searching for a lamp-post and Mr. Tumnus during my strolls. 😉 Here are some of the enchanting photos I took during my stay:

Frozen apples on my parent’s tree. Definitely nature’s magical Christmas ornaments.

Seemingly, just a stump with snow on it, but to me it’s a snow mailbox. 😉

Pretty icicles hanging off my parent’s house.

Gorgeous view of the Misty Mountains (a.k.a. the Rockies) 😉
And here are some photos taken indoors just for fun:

The Christmas tree is almost glowing with magic, don’t you think?

I may have indulged on a gingerbread cake that my mom and I made. We sifted powdered sugar on top to mimic the dusting of snow outside.
Thanks for stopping by to read this post and stay tuned for more photos of magical spots I’ve encountered — like these fairy-esque scenes of the VanDusen Gardens. Or, if you don’t want to miss updates, subscribe to my email newsletter below. BTW, I don’t sell email addresses. No one likes that, especially me, and that’s just evil and punishable by unicorn horn impalement. Truly! 😉
